Polishing Stages
Stage 1
Metal Bond diamond remove existing epoxy coatings, surface stains and blemishers.
Stage 2
Diamond grinding pads the porous surface of concrete
Stage 3
Apply Crystal L Densifier liquid hardener to concrete, sealing and strengthening the surface
Stage 4
Resin bonded diamond are to be used to polish the concrete in stages; each stage leaves the concrete surface smoother and more refined
Stage 5
An Ultra Fine Diamond pad brings the concrete to a beautiful, durable luster.
Stage 6
Burnish with Crystal Sheen to get highest lusting effect.
Densifier / Diamond Grinding & Polishing
Crystal L
Crystal L Sodium Densifier, reduce porosity, and protect the surface by improving chemical resistance and reducing water permeability while remaining vapor permeable (breathable). The Crystal L Sodium the treated and finished concrete will provide a surface that is nontoxic, easy to maintain, and environmentally sound.
Diamond Grinding & Diamond Polishing
Diamond Grinding & Diamond Polishing are terms used to describe certain process involved in prepping, transforming and polishing concrete surfaces.
Diamond Grinding
Diamond Grinding is the most aggressive stage of preparing concrete for staining and/or polishing. We use "Metal Bond" diamond disc that grind concrete down to the desired level. Depending on the application, during this beginning stage, many if not all surface issues are addressed in this process. Glue, paint, shadows and stains are some of the problems we solve during this crucial step. When prepping concrete for polishing or stain, the process is very specific and detailed... one must understand all the factors and present limitations.
Diamond Polishing
Diamond Polishing is the term used when "Resin Bond" diamond discs hit the floor. Each level of diamond discs has its purpose. From the more aggressive grinding (metal bond) to finer polishing (resin bond), each step is a continual progression of polishing the floor to the desired finish. Depending on our type of finish (Cream, Salt & Pepper, or Stone). These type of finishes are cost effective, low-maintenance alternatives.
